Louisville Metro Has supported the following programs:

  • Spirit Beats was awarded $10k for Drumming Works to do four performances in the community. 20 youth will collaborate with the instructor to develop a marketing plan, art, musical instruments and skills, and to sell products made by building entrepreneurship.
  • UCC was awarded $37,500 for ten youth to obtain certification in DOL-certified Roots of Success, Citizen Forestry 101, and herbicide and pesticide application. 10 youth also participate in weekly service projects and field trips to study job opportunities.
  • Nursing was awarded $31,300 to support 41 lower-income youth, ages 18-24, in getting their GED. These funds also support youth obtaining nursing workforce certifications and being placed into employment or college at the end of their program.
